“Welcome to the best (and probably only) fan site on the web for the Atari ST game KICKER from 1991, and its commercial successor Starbyte Super Soccer. This tribute was created by my ‘big’ brother Frank, the greatest admirer of this game that I know. Closely followed, of course, by Kicker Bernd... KICKER is a football manager simulation for the Atari ST, developed from 1987 by Dirk Weigand in GFA-Basic and released in 1991 as Starbyte Super Soccer. The disk image, ready-made emulator packages for Windows and macOS, the manual and the save codes are free to download.

A programming experiment inspired by Football Manager on the ZX Spectrum, the summer holidays of 1988 at the Atari ST, shareware announced in a reader’s letter to ASM and finally the contract with Starbyte Software: how my brother’s teenage project became Starbyte Super Soccer – and why it never made Dirk rich.
Plus the 2.5-hour interview with Denis Roters, press reviews from Powerplay to ASM and the revival of the source code after 30 years.
